In September 2023, having carved out a robust professional career, Hillary Omitogun, identified a crucial gap in the industry: a lack of support for women beyond early-career stages. With over three years of experience in the industry and a passion for building relationships, Hillary recognized that as she advanced in her career, she faced new challenges. These included managing teams, finding solid mentors, and navigating mid-senior level responsibilities.

Driven by a desire to connect with like-minded women and address these needs, Hillary founded HerSynergy Tribe.

The decision to create a private community stemmed from a vision of balanced value exchange. HerSynergy Tribe was designed as a space where members could both receive and offer substantial support, fostering a culture of mutual growth and empowerment.

Within just six months of its inception, HerSynergy Tribe's impact was undeniable. By March 2024, we had:

• Received over 100 member applications
• Accepted half of applicants into the community
• Achieved some growth without paid promotion

What began as a support network quickly evolved into a vibrant platform for peer mentorship, where members openly shared challenges and offered invaluable advice. Committed to making a broader impact, HerSynergy Tribe also launched new initiatives like:

1. Monthly Guest Speaker Series: Open to both members and non-members, featuring accomplished women professionals sharing their experiences and insights.
2. Recognition Program: Highlighting outstanding women beyond the community.
3. Philanthropic efforts like a End Period Poverty drive in partnership with Sanitary Aid Nigeria.

Continued Growth and Impact

A turning point came when Tolu Ajibola joined the community. Recognizing the immense value HerSynergy Tribe offered, Tolu, with her extensive background in operations and strategy, became deeply involved in both community engagement and management activities. Her contributions helped refine the community's structure, enhancing our effectiveness and reach.

By July 2024, our momentum continued to build and:

• Surpassed 170 member applications
• Reached over 80 active members
• Started publicly sharing exclusive opportunities - internships, jobs, and fellowships linked to member networks or their connections.
